Hello cats and kittens....or other types of animals. O____O

I just joined this community, mostly because the man and I are into gaming, and because we both know VERY few people to no one here. :0( Most of the people we know are acquaintances, or they are friends who are leaving. We'd like to meet some new people, and to possibly join in on some games.

My man and I do console games, but I've always had an interest in D&D...I played ages ago...and a friend is trying to get me into Orpheus which looks neat. We play risk (again it's been ages...mostly because it feels lame to play those types of games alone or with two people. :0P) So this is an almost whiney plea.

I need/he needs to meet some new people/get back into our hobbies. :0) Does anyone wanna meet up sometime?? *hopeful smile* We're old (aka 25........hahahaha). I hope that someone is interested in making some new friends!!

EDIT: I should add that the man is into the idea of doing some D&D/good old fashioned gaming too. i don't want to make him sound like he's ONLY into consoles. :0)

Does anyone know when the new World of Darkness game based on Frankenstein / Golems is available in Canada? The White-Wolf site said it would be available in mid-August, but previous experiences has taught me that release dates are usually US-centric.

Thanks!

Hello everybody,
This is a RPG community for people who live in Hamilton, right? I've lived in Hamilton for a month and I have yet to make any friends (besides co-workers, most whom don't live in Hamilton).

What kind of RPGs are we talkin about here? (Please correct me if I am asking about the wrong kind of RPGs) Because, man, I have been WANTING to play Secret of Mana for the Super Nintendo for WAY too long and I need someone to play with me! I have the system and the game, but I just can't play it by myself. The only person who will play it with me is my brother but he doesn't live in Hamilton.

Okay, thanks everybody!!

haha I hope I have the right community. Just let me know if I'm wrong.

talk to you all later.

RPG comin' out [May. 16th, 2006|11:28 am]

Hey, folks! This kind of an ad, so bear with me.

Sanguine Productions, the guys who did the most recent Usagi Yojimbo RPG, are releasing a new edition of their Jadeclaw RPG. This new edition is full-colour, hardcover, and revised and edited. It represents a substantial improvement over the previous edition, which was quite highly reviewed.

A limited pre-release print run is currently being pre-sold at 25% below the eventual cover price, and shipping and handling is waived. 80 orders must be received in order to make this pre-release run happen. You can order a copy here.

And, as one of the authors, I'd be happy to sign any copies if you happen to run into me.

Kult Scenerio [Apr. 8th, 2006|10:36 am]

idreamofgardens
My husband will be offering a Kult scenerio at the Great Canadian Baycon on the last weekend of April. The blurb, not yet tacked up the site, is as follows:

"Kult is a modern horror RPG that has been described as "personal bloody
rusty visceral terror in an epic scale universe that really doesn?t care".
What happens when a chipper receptionist, a disgruntled handyman, a
successful lawyer and his trophy wife are forced to spend the night
together? This scenario is designed to be character-driven rather than
story-driven, so bring your best acting skills and leave your
inhibitions at home.

Characters will be provided. The less experience you have with Kult, the
better. You must be 18 or older. Max 4 players. Pre-registration is
highly suggested."

Please check it out.

Newbie girlgamer seeks game!

I can't find anybody to play with. I'm interested in playing D&D, or any Tri-stat game, or Call of Cthulhu, or really just about anything. I'm most familiar with d20 and Tri-Stat systems, but more than happy to learn any others.

Anybody?
